General
No. ControlArk is built specifically around the Nitrado API for all server operations — log access, delivery, server control, and player data. Non-Nitrado hosts are not supported.
ControlArk is built for ARK: Survival Evolved on Xbox / Microsoft Store, hosted on Nitrado. ARK: Survival Ascended is not currently supported.
Yes. Once you connect your Nitrado account, all ARK game services on that account are automatically detected. You can connect multiple Nitrado accounts if your servers span more than one. Each server operates independently with its own shop, credits, player data, and detection config.
Run /configurate in your Discord server and select Connections. You'll need a Nitrado Long-Life Token — create one in the Nitrado Developer Portal under Long Life Tokens with the service and user_info scopes enabled. Paste the token when prompted and ControlArk will detect your servers automatically.
Make sure the token you created has both the service and user_info scopes. Also confirm the Nitrado account that owns the token is the same account that holds your ARK game services — if your servers are under a different Nitrado account you'll need to connect that one instead. If the issue persists, ask in the Discord support channel.
Yes. Kick the bot from your Discord server at any time. You can also use /configurate → Data Management to delete all stored data for your server before removing it. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on what we store.
Shop & Delivery
When a player places an order, a delivery room is automatically assigned with a unique PIN code. The player receives a Discord DM with the room number and PIN. Items are then automatically placed into the vault in that room on the delivery schedule configured by the server admin. No admin needs to be online.
Room assignment is near-instant. Once assigned you'll receive a DM — items are then delivered on the schedule set by your server admin. If you're unsure of the timing, check with them directly.
Delivery can fail if the server is offline or Nitrado is experiencing an outage. The order is retried in the next cycle automatically. Credits are never lost due to a failed delivery — contact your server admin if the issue persists and they can trigger a retry or issue a refund from the dashboard.
Yes. The public store has a cart — add as many packs as you want and check out in one go. All items from your order are delivered to a single room.
Anyone can browse a public store without logging in. To place an order, players log in with Discord — this is how the bot knows who to DM, which credit balance to deduct from, and which room to assign.
Credits
Credits are a virtual in-server currency with no real-world monetary value. Server admins give credits to players as rewards — for playtime, events, or any other reason they choose. Players spend credits in the server's shop to receive in-game items.
Admins use /credits give @user amount and /credits take @user amount. To check a specific player's balance use /credits check @user. Players check their own balance with /credits balance and transaction history with /credits history.
No. Credits are per-server. Your balance on one server has no relation to your balance on another. This keeps each server's economy fully independent.
Contact the admin of the server you play on — they have full visibility over your credit transaction history from the dashboard and can correct any issues. Every give, take, and purchase is logged.
Dashboard & Configuration
Anyone with Manage Server or Administrator permission in your Discord server can access the dashboard. Permissions are re-verified periodically, so removing someone's Discord permissions will revoke their dashboard access.
Run /configurate in your Discord server. This opens the main configuration menu where you can enable/disable and configure every feature — detections, log streaming, player tracking, the ingame shop, and more — all from Discord without visiting the dashboard.
The Discord bot handles commands, alerts, detections, and delivery — everything that runs automatically or is triggered by slash commands. The web dashboard at controlark.net provides richer views for managing shop packs, browsing orders, viewing player data, and managing credits and permissions.
