Refund Policy
This policy covers refunds for ControlArk subscriptions processed through Stripe, as well as failed in-game item deliveries handled by the ControlArk Donation System.
1. Subscription Refunds
ControlArk subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. The following refund terms apply:
- 48-hour refund window (new subscribers). If you are a new subscriber and have not actively used the service, you may request a full refund within 48 hours of your first payment. To request this, contact us at support@controlark.net or via our Discord.
- No refund after active use. Once the service has been actively used (features configured, data processed, deliveries made, etc.) within the 48-hour window, refunds will not be issued regardless of the time remaining.
- Renewals are non-refundable. After the initial billing period, renewal charges are not refunded. You can cancel before the next renewal to avoid being charged again.
- Cancellations are not refunds. Cancelling your subscription stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period. Your access remains active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Add-on refunds. The same terms apply to the Donation System add-on. Proration credits applied mid-cycle are not refundable in cash.
All subscription refunds are processed through Stripe. Once approved, refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your payment provider.
2. Failed In-Game Deliveries (Donation System)
In-game item deliveries are separate from subscription payments. Items are delivered using virtual credits — a non-monetary in-server currency with no real-world value. If a delivery fails:
- The system will automatically retry the delivery on the next scheduled cycle.
- Credits are never deducted until an order is successfully confirmed.
- If a delivery permanently fails, the server administrator can issue a credit refund to the player's account from the dashboard.
For delivery issues, contact the administrator of the server you play on. They have full visibility over your order status and can action refunds or retries directly.
3. When Delivery May Fail
- Server offline — the ARK server was offline during the delivery window. The order will retry automatically.
- Nitrado outage — Nitrado's API was temporarily unavailable. Retried automatically when service resumes.
- Donation room misconfiguration — the server's donation room is not set up correctly. The administrator must fix the configuration.
- Save file issues — corrupted or inaccessible ARK save files may prevent delivery.
4. Loot Box Purchases
Loot boxes are earned through in-game playtime and cannot be purchased with real money through ControlArk. Once a loot box is opened and the result revealed, the result is final. Credit refunds for opened loot boxes are at the server administrator's sole discretion.
5. Items Already Delivered
Once items have been successfully delivered to a donation room vault in-game, the order is considered complete. Credits will not be refunded for delivered orders regardless of what happens to the items after delivery (e.g., items lost in-game, server wipe, etc.).
6. Administrator Discretion
Credit refunds and delivery re-attempts within a server are at the sole discretion of the server administrator. ControlArk provides the tools for administrators to manage orders and issue refunds, but cannot compel administrators to do so.
